New Mini Coupe Concept – Help needed!

We’re hoping that you our readers can help us sort something out. This is the new Concept Mini Coupe. We can’t quite decide though…
I must say I think it’s really striking. Like distilled Mini sportscar. Although it does look like you need to be five-foot dead to drive it, which puts me right out of luck.
But there are others in the office who think it’s a shameless attempt to sell the same underlying car for a whole lot more money. Which of course it is. Still halo specials like these have their place.
Besides which BMW is celebrating 50 years of MINI with this special, and have at the same time taken the opportunity to lighten the car significantly bringing it that much closer to its legendary forebearer in concept, which has to be a good thing.
Anyway, what do you think? Must-have or stay away?

I think this little thing is absolutely brilliant as a concept – the way they have almost done a “speedster” take on the MINI hatch is briliant. Will they build it? This is BMW, and they put the 5 Series GT into production, so maybe they will? I know I’d love one!
I love this car!!!! it’s really cute and have the makings of a real sportscar. I wouldn’t mind driving one myself!
I like this car a lot. However, like you, I would have trouble fitting inside. You’re too tall and I’m too wide. Although if it has the capacity of a regular Min, I’d be OK. Drove one of those to Clarens for the Miini 50th anniversary party and it was a comfortable ride — even for a big boy like me!
