Italian Charm – Alfa Mito

We have been driving our powder blue Alfa Mito car this week and having a lot of fun with it. Our test car although a base model is reasonably well equipped with its Alfa D.N.A. system being the big selling point. What you get is 3 driving modes each of which changes the engine response, gearbox, steering and suspension. Nothing new, you might be thinking but it is pretty special on a car in this price bracket. The D.N.A really does work as well it isn’t just a marketing gimmick.

The Mito is a stylish little car with a typically Italian look. You see in Italy style is everything and that theme continues inside the car as well. What is surprising though is the ease with which it can accommodate 4 adults in comfort. It has a Tardis like design appearing to be bigger on the inside than the outside.

The Mito performs and handles like a sports car with a very comfortable ride. Initial impressions are that the build quality is more German than Italian but only time will tell.

A lot rests on the shoulders of the little Mito. Alfa are hoping that this is the car that will re-invigorate sales of the brand in this country. If there is any justice, it should. Judging by the amount of attention the car has attracted we believe it will be a good seller.IMG_9831
